MENS CARE MENS LIFESTYLE
Motivational tips for healthy minds and healthy bodies can easily be ignored in
our busy lives. This is common with many ‘start ups’ because finding the motivation seems
to be the hardest part of achieving success in whatever it is that you set out to do. Conversely,
the most satisfying part of having finally found the motivation is seeing the positive results
that come from your effort! If you want a positive start and find motivation for healthy
minds and healthy bodies, then it has to start with you being motivated by thinking
about the end results. Read on for exercise motivation tips and how to get started; how to
stay at it...and how to be safe at it while you’re feeling that motivation.
Motivational Excuses......Nothing But Bull$@%#Excuses..
People who cant find the Motivation for gaining healthy minds and healthy bodies
often make up all sorts of excuses. Some people with busy lifestyles conjure up reasons and
all feeble excuses to why they don’t have time to get motivated, or don’t have the energy to
put in the effort needed for the desirable results. Whether people are aiming for weight loss,
strength training or simply finding the motivation to exercise can be the hardest part of
the journey. The irony is that most people fail to see that when they get into an exercise
routine, energy levels will increase. This makes reaching those goals easier with time. This
will also make the motivation to exercise easier with time.
MOTIVATION BEGINS WITH THREE SETS OF ‘SELF SABOTAGE ELIMINATION’
Its important to mentally shut down any negative self talk or weak excuses you might tell
yourself, such as why you couldnt I find the motivation to exercise on days that you should
have, or on days you cant even be bothered thinking about exercise. The trick is to eliminate
negative self talk and refuse to listen to the voice of negativity that will keep you stuck in one
spot. The only exercise you’ll get on those days will be kicking yourself hard because you
believed in your own rubbish!
YOU FOUND THE MOTIVATION TO EXERCISE... BUT
TAKE IT EASY AS YOU START TRAINING...
One of the most common mistakes people make when
they finally find the motivation to exercise, or
motivation to start training on their chosen exercise, is
over doing it on the first couple of days. You have to make
sure that if you’re starting out with weight training or cardio
that you don’t push yourself too hard. Take it slowly at first,
then over time gradually scale the weights up, or scale up
the level of exercise whenever it feels natural to you.
Whatever you do, don’t go in there as if you’re Superman
and over exert yourself with heavy weights that your
muscles haven’t had time to adjust to. The same principle
applies to sports, or exercises that you haven’t warmed up
for. Don’t expect to leap out
of bed the next morning
with Superhero powers!
What youl’l end up with is
muscular discomfort and the likelihood of injury. In other
words, you’re more likely to act like ‘grandpa’ with a sore
back, and sprained muscles as you crawl out of bed the next
day or two! Your mind will also whisper sub conscious
thoughts to you that you shouldn’t return to that level of
discomfort ever again. Its a psychological defence
mechanism and one of the oldest tricks the mind will play that
tries to keep you away and stops the motivation to exercise that
you had found. I’ve tried to warn people as ive witnessed them making those kind of training
mistakes, only to see that they didn’t return to give it another try.
So remember; always warm up for at least ten minutes, then start out slowly; get used to the
level exercise or the weights, then over a few weeks gradually, increase the weights or
cardiovascular intensity within your own time frame.
Always seek the advice of a professional gym trainer/instructor when starting
to train...... and be patient. And don’t worry about what the super muscular guys in the
Gym (if you see them) may be thinking, or if they make you feel intimidated. Most of the
time, they really don’t care! They certainly didn’t walk into the gym one day looking the way
they do now. Its the same for everyone.
MOTIVATIONAL ENERGY BRINGS POWERFUL BENEFITS YOUR WAY.
Eventually, after you’ve found the motivation to exercise and enjoyed a good work out,
or a good exercise session, you’ll start feeling great as your brains’ natural endorphins, plus a
carousel of other natural ‘feel good’ chemicals will flood it. Its quite common for people to
get hooked on the natural highs they sometimes feel from exercising hard. That’s what drives
a ‘gym junkie to work out at all hours....
A day after exercising you should also feel ‘good pains’ as your muscles begin the repair
process after they have been torn in microscopic levels and begin rebuilding themselves to
become stronger with the help of an adequate diet plus supplements, such as high quality
proteins. This pain is normal and will subside within one or two days as your muscles
recover and build. If you’re still feeling sore after more than a couple of days, then you were
pushing yourself too hard, you didn’t use the correct techniques, or you over exerted your
body.
Being careful and consistent whilst exercising will not only make you look and feel better, it
will undoubtedly improve your self esteem as you see a better ‘you’ standing in the mirror.
Finding the motivation to exercise will give you a sense of new found energy. The
exercise motivation you were searching for will become easier to find with time and the
results will help you gain more motivation. Its a win win situation!
MOTIVATED YOUNG, HEALTHY MINDS....
Its been a well known scientific fact for decades now that
as people age, especially after hitting 30, brain tissue starts
shrinking. Studies have found that the fitter the body, the
less shrinkage there is in the areas that control memory and
other "thinking" tasks. That’s why exercise is not only great
for your body, but also great for your brain!
Much like you’ll increase the weights, or cardiovascular
intensity over time with exercise; your mind will also
improve and keep pushing boundaries, build up more
natural stamina and steer you toward bigger and better
goals in life. This is probably the most important benefit
from finding the motivation to exercise that’s still
overseen by a majority of people.
Always keep reminding yourself after you’ve found the
motivation; whether its motivation for healthy bodies or healthy minds that its all
supposed to be enjoyable and keep reminding yourself about the positive results from your
motivation. This makes for a better you in in the short.... and the long term!
